West Seattle Family Seeking FT Infant Nanny for October Start
A warm West Seattle family is looking for an experienced full-time nanny to care for their daughter beginning in early October. Their daughter will be 5 months old at the start of the position and is already an alert, curious baby who loves interacting with the people around her. They are hoping to find a caregiver who truly enjoys this stage of infancy and will partner with them to create a joyful, engaging environment where she can thrive.
Both parents are Pacific Northwest natives who are excited to be putting down roots in West Seattle. As a family, they love spending time at Alki Beach, exploring neighborhood parks, and are looking forward to introducing their daughter to local hikes and outdoor adventures as she grows. They hope to find a nanny who enjoys being outside and is happy to get out for walks and adventures in every season.
Their home is a spacious, updated 1950s home with a bright daylight basement playroom. One parent works from home full time while the other has a hybrid schedule and will WFH part time. They have designated work spaces, but will be in and out throughout the day. They're looking for someone who is comfortable working independently while maintaining open communication and a collaborative relationship with the parents.
As their daughter grows, the family may be interested in transitioning to a nanny share toward the end of the initial contract. They would be excited to find someone who is open to that possibility should the right opportunity arise, though this is not an expectation at the start of the position.
The ideal nanny has extensive infant experience and is deeply attuned to the needs of babies in this exciting stage of development. They should delight in everyday moments, whether that's singing songs with hand motions, inventing silly games, dancing together to music, narrating the world around them, or inviting baby to safely explore new textures while helping prepare a meal. This family values a caregiver who understands that learning happens through connection and shared experiences, and who will help nurture their daughter's natural curiosity through play.
