FT Maple Leaf Nanny Needed for Baby-Focused Position!
We are searching for a kind, experienced, and engaging full-time nanny to care for a calm 4-month-old baby, with additional care for their 4.5-year-old older brother after school and during school closures.
This family loves adventure, whether traveling to new places, exploring different foods through cooking, or cheering on the Seattle Sounders at games together. They also enjoy hosting friends and family, creating warm and memorable experiences. They have one friendly older dog who steals the show and is sure to return all the love you give ten-fold.
Baby boy is oh so sweet! He was born pre-term at 34 weeks, but is home and thriving. He is just starting to sleep for longer stretches, and the family is working on establishing a gentle routine for his daily activities.
Big brother brings big energy and is super social- he loves Hot Wheels, playing soccer, and helping in the kitchen. Care for him is typically before school (one block away!) and on Mon/Fri from 3-5pm. His schedule and needs shift with Summer camps.
Their home is a spacious, open concept, 3-story home. Parents WFH in a designated office. They have a newly finished playroom in the basement and the backyard and deck are going to be a blast for Summer fun! They’re in a walkable neighborhood a few blocks from a great park/playground and coffee shops.
The ideal candidate for this position has ample infant experience and will be eager to help socialize the kids with plenty of outings and playdates. They are capable and competent with being self-directed throughout the day, and they should have a clear communicative and collaborative approach to working with their employers. Spanish speaking would be a bonus!
Position Details:
Schedule: Ideally 45 hours/week, 8am-5pm; extra hours for date nights a plus!
Compensation: $35-37/hour
Benefits: Guaranteed Hours, Two weeks PTO of Nanny’s choosing, 6-10 Paid Holidays, Sick Leave, OT
Duration: 1-year commitment with potential to extend
Start Date: End of May/Beginning of June
Responsibilities:
Baby-focused care for infant during the day
After-school care for older sibling and full-day care during school breaks or closures
Age-appropriate play, developmental support, and tasks related to the children
Occasional local and domestic travel with the family would be a bonus, but not required
Ideal Candidate:
Very experienced with infants (minimum 3 years professional experience) and preschoolers and enjoys both ages
Spanish-speaking candidates strongly preferred (though not required)
Warm, proactive, and reliable
Able to foster a nurturing, engaging environment
Communicative and desires a collaborative atmosphere, but also capable of self-direction
Open to becoming a valued, long-term part of the family’s support system
Dog friendly!
Personal vehicle preferred, but not required
No accompanying children
Agency Requirements:
Minimum Three years of recent and relevant professional experience
Must be authorized to work in the United States and willing to sign a W4 and employment contract
A minimum of three exemplary employer/work-related references from recent positions held
Must be able to submit to a thorough background and driving record checks
Must be fluent in both written and spoken English
Have an up-to-date Infant/Child First Aid/CPR certification
Connectivity: must have access to a reliable phone with cell and internet access
Must be willing to wear a mask and work through minor illnesses
Nannies must be physically able to lift 40lbs and maneuver around with ease (if accommodations are needed and able to be provided for, please state this in your application)
Must have reliable transportation and insurance if pertinent to position
Must be non-smoking
